HTC launches the HTC One S officially in India for Rs 33590. Some of the Indian online retail storeshad already started to sell the smartphone last week for a price of Rs 33k.
Currently, HTC offers One X for about Rs. 37k and One V for Rs. 17k approximately.

New Price of BSNL Penta Tablet TPAD IS701R is Rs 3999

BSNL and Pantel Technologies have revised the price of one of their low cost tablet TPAD IS701R from Rs 3499 to Rs 3999 with BSNL connection and Rs 3250 to Rs 3749 without BSNL data plan.

“Till now, we have received more than 250,000 bookings. We have already started with the delivery process and lined up customers can expect the tablet to be delivered within two months. As far as the price is concerned, it is revised to Rs 3,999 with BSNL data plan and Rs 3,749 without BSNL connection respectively,” said Nishant Mishra, marketing head, Pantel Technologies.
The company also mentioned that the new price will be applicable only for the new customers. Customers who had booked the TPAD 701R earlier has to pay the old quoted price itself.

TPAD IS701R also popularly known as the ‘Rs 3200 BSNL tablet’ has a 7inch high quality resistive touchscreen of resolution 800 x 600 pixels. 701R is powered by 1GHz processor running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread version with the support of 256MB DDR2 RAM and 2GB of internal memory. The tablet has a microSD card slot expandable upto 32GB and a VGA camera. The battery of capacity 3000mAh can last upto 8hours.

BSNL launched its two Pantel made low cost tablets TPAD IS703C and TPAD IS 701C on 15th June in Indore.

Nokia 808 PureView launched in India for a MRP of Rs 33899

Nokia’s 5years of hard work has finally seen some light. The PureView 808 smartphones gets released in Indian market from today for Rs 33899.
Pureview 808 comes in two colors black and white and will be available across all the Nokia retail outlets in India starting from Thursday, 14th June.

Nokia Pureview 808 packs an incredible 41MP Pureview technology with Carl Zeiss optics based camera. Nokia has joined hands with Dolby Laboratories which has helped it introduce a rich cinematic sound output in 808 Pureview. This smartphone features both Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby Headphones technology and in addition, Nokia is bundling a Dolby Headphone with Pureview 808. Full Phone Specifications of CelKon A97

As covered in the previous article, CelkonTM Mobiles, one of the Indian cell phone manufacturer has announced its two new dual-sim Android smartphones for Indian market, Celkon A95 and Celkon A97. Both the handsets make the Celkon Mobiles as the first Handset company in India to launch its phone based on the newly developed 6575 Chipset from MediaTek. The CPU in the chipset is powered by 1GHz processor running on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system. Company has roped in cricketer Virat Kohli and the actress Tamanna as the brand ambassadors and has lined up eight more advanced smart phones in the $100-200 category to be launched over the next few weeks.

Celkon A97 has a 4″ capacitive touchscreen of resolution 480 x 800 pixels with multi-touch support. It supports dual-sim for GSM network and has 3G capability. Other connectivity includes Wifi, GPS, Bluetooth and MicroUSB. Celkon A97 model is officially announced on 8th June in Hyderabad and will be available by the third quarter of this year with a price tag of Rs 8499 in India.

Best Touchscreen Phones from Nokia under Rs 6k, until July 2012

Nokia has introduced three brand new touchscreen feature phones in its ASHA series, ASHA 305, ASHA 306 and ASHA 311. In this article we will be covering the details of Asha 305 and 306.
Asha 305 and 306 were officially announced on 6th June 2012 and are yet to be released in the market.
Asha 305 is supposed to start shipping from the second quarter of this year, perhaps from the last week of this month. Whereas the Asha 306 is expected to be shipped from the 3rd quarter. Both the handsets look pretty much identical but differ a bit in terms of specs.
They have a 3inch WQVGA resistive touchscreen integrated with the Asha Touch UI for better user interface. Asha 305 has a dual-sim capability and 2G GPRS for internet browsing on the latest Nokia Browser 2.0. Similar to Asha 305, Asha 306 also packs 2.0MP camera but in addition it supports Wifi connectivity and is a single sim device. The expected price of Asha 305 and Asha 306 in Indian Market is around Rs 4350 and Rs 4700 (excluding the tax) respectively.
