14th March is the special day for the Indian Emerging Company Lava Mobiles as it is introducing its first Quad Core smartphone in its portfolio named as Xolo Q800. Company has also posted a Count Down timer on its official site with the tag Mission X (Update: The timer could be for an Intel powered Smartphone from Xolo). Currently one can buy the Q800 (black color) from online retail store flipkart.com for Rs 12,499.
Xolo Q800 is a Dual-SIM smartphone with 4.5 inch qHD IPS display of resolution 960 x 540 pixels and runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor supported with 1GB RAM. The internal memory is of 4GB which is further expandable upto 32GB via microSD card.
Other specs of Lava Q800 include 8 MP rear and 2 MP front-facing camera for making video calls and in the connectivity segment, Q800 comes with Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, USB, GPRS, FM Radio and A-GPS. Lava has loaded the Q800 with a massive 2100 mAh battery which can offer upto a stunning 16hrs of talk time on 2G network and about 2 weeks of standby time.
On 14th March other smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S4, Umi X2 are also scheduled to launch around the world. Xolo Q800 is expected to give a stiff competition to smartphones like Micromax Canvas HD A116 and Spice Mi 530.
