1. HTC One:
HTC One is the 2013 flagship smartphone of the Taiwanese Giant with full aluminum unibody. The 4.7inch android JB smartphone was first unvieled on Feb 19th in London and NewYork. It is bundled with features like –
HTC BlinkFeed: New kind of vertically scrollable tile centric home screen where social, news, personal and sports updates can be found. Just like the Windows 8 Live Tiles. This feature comes with the latest HTC Sense 5 UI.
UltraPixel: HTC One has a mere 4MP rear camera. But hold on. This 4MP camera has one thing different in it and that is the size of the pixel. HTC has increased the size of the pixel instead of increasing number of the pixels. The company claims that the images captured with this UP rear will have 300% more light than any other smartphones. It is equivalent to a 13MP camera. And with its dedicated Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) the chances of blurry images are reduced.
Other special features include HTC Boom Sound where the smartphone comes with dual front stereo speakers helpful during watching videos, playing games etc and HTC Sense TV where the phone can be used as a TV remote with its in built infra red technology. Also its full HD display with the highest pixel density which gives a crisp and sharp image quality.
The smartphone will be coming to India in the last week of March. Currently it is available for pre orders in UK for 510 pounds.
2. Sony Xperia Z:
Unveiled at CES 2013 Sony Xperia Z is the 2013 flagship smartphone of the Japanese company. The 5 inch Phablet ships with full HD display of resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels making upto 443ppi. Major USP of Xperia Z is its IP55 and IP57 protection rating which means the smartphone is dust and water proof. This feature is not present in its rival devices. Other than this the smartphone also comes with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2 for sharper image quality, a 13MP camera integrated with next-generation Sony Exmor RS lens for capturing crystal clear photos, Durable dragon trail glass which is shatter proof and Battery STAMINA Mode the intelligent battery management system shuts down the battery-draining apps when the screen is locked and then starts them up again when the screen is back on hence improving the battery life.
The smartphone is also said to receive the Android v4.2.2 JB update soon in March. It is expected to launch in India in March. The smartphone pre orders have began in UK selling at 522 pounds, shipping starts by this month end.

The struggling Canadian Company took its time analyzing the market needs and came up with a full touch device named as BlackBerry Z10. The 4.2″ smartphone comes with a decent display with 355ppi. It is powered by the latest BB Os 10 and running on 1.5GHz dual core processor with 2GB RAM in place.
BlackBerry Z10 comes with some good and useful features. Like Screen Sharing where you can share your screen with other BB10 devices via BlackBerry Messenger. Comes in handy when you want some IT guy to solve your phone problem.

4. HTC Butterfly:
Another android Jelly bean Smartphone with Full HD Display of resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels and 440PPi. HTC Butterfly is the costliest smartphone released until now from the company. The 5″ Phablet is designed beautifully and a definite head turner. It is powered 1.5GHz Qualcomm quad core processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory which can be further expanded via micro SD Card slot. But the limitation of this smartphone is its poor battery capacity which is just 2020mAh.
Now that HTC One is announced only time can say how well the Butterfly performs in the crowded market.

5. Nokia Lumia 920:
Currently one of the high end Windows Phone 8 device from the Nokia. Beautifully designed Lumia 920 has high end specs but looks slightly over priced.
The advantages of this WP8 smartphone is its Os, high quality Camera, 4.5″ HD display, strong poly carbonate unibody and decent battery. The limitations could include the absence of microSD card slot and its thickness size which gives it a bulkier looks.
The smartphone was released in India for Rs 36,500.
