South Korean Giant LG has decided to concentrate only on Smartphone segment atleast for now. Its intentions of manufacturing more tablets are put on hold. LG launched its Android based Optimus Pad LTE tablet this year and stopped after that. The management at LG has planned to focus on its fundamentals rather than getting diverted from the market trend. LG spokesman Ken Hong said that, “We’ve decided to put all new tablet development on the back burner for the time being in order to focus on smartphones”. Since most of the share in the tablet market is captured by Apple and Samsung so the company is forced to stop the development in its Tablet section and pay more attention only in the smartphone section.
