There are total 3 smartphones in the Lava’s Xolo family, Xolo A700, Xolo A800 and Xolo X900. All the three smartphones are running on android operating system.
Xolo A700 and A800 are powered by MediaTek processors and have many features common in them with little difference. Both the devices are running on Android ICS Os where as Xolo X900 stands apart from these two young members in the series.
Xolo X900 being the costliest among the three and the world’s first Intel inside processor phone comes with Android 2.3 ginger bread version.
After the release of Xolo X900 Lenovo’s Lephone K800 the second Intel processor based smartphone was also released in the global market.

System:
Lava Xolo X900 ships with the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) which can be now upgraded to Android 4.0.4 via OTA or from the manufacturer website here.
Xolo A800 being a dual-sim smartphone comes with the Android 4.0. Both the devices use stock android and haven’t customized much to the user interface.
It is difficult to say whether these handsets will receive further upgrades to jellybean.
X900 and A800 differ in the processor segment. X900 is powered by 1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor which is single core but uses Intel’s Hyper Threading technology for multitasking Where as A800 uses 1 GHz Dual Core processor chipset from MediaTek. X900 has reviewed thoroughly and proven that it performs far better than expected for the price tag it sells.
A800 comes with a 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal memory which can be further expanded upto 32GB with the microSD card slot and also one can even get a 8GB free memory card during the purchase.
On the other hand Xolo X900 has 1GB RAM and 16GB of in-built storage but no microSD card support.
Display:
In this segment both the smartphones doesn’t disappoint its customers.
Xolo A800 has a huge 4.5inch IPS based Capacitive touch screen with 960 x 540 Pixels, 16Million colors and 245pixels per inch where as the X900 has slightly small screen of 4 inch with 1024 x 600 pixels, 16M colors and 295 ppi density and on top of this sits the Corning Gorilla Glass for protection from scratches. Being a budget phone Xolo A800 doesn’t have any special glass for the screen protection.
Connectivity and Multimedia:
Both A800 Xolo and X900 Xolo have a 8MP autofocus and touchfocus rear camera with LED Flash in which the camera of X900 supports a 1080p HD recording where as the A800 doesn’t record any HD videos.
X900 has a 1.3MP front camera and A800 has a VGA one.
A800 sensor list includes Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor.
Along with the above sensors X900 also includes Gyroscope and Magnetometer.
In the connectivity section both the 3G enabled devices supports USB 2.0, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and a 3.5mm headset jack. Xolo X900 also supports NFC.
Battery:
Xolo A800 being a bigger device has a better battery capacity compared to Xolo X900. Xolo A800 has 1600 mAh which can last up to 5.8 hours of talktime on a 2G network where as the Xolo x900 has a 1460mAH battery which can last up to whopping 14hours of talktime on a 2G network.
Price:
Price of Lava Xolo A800 in India is around Rs 12000 and the price of Lava Xolo X900 is around Rs 17500. Both the smartphones are released in India and available across the leading stores.
