Here is some good news for the eagerly waiting fans, HTC One is finally heading to India. Yesterday the Taiwan company’s Indian Unit officially made a statement that the smartphone will be released in the last week of April in India with the price tag of Rs 42900 (appx $800) which is lesser than its HTC Buttery smartphone (around Rs 45K).
Before its formal launch the smartphone was already spotted at the online retailer eBay.in for Rs 52,968.
HTC One is the premium device with high end specs. The smartphone was officially unleashed on February in London. It comes with a great unibody design and includes several unique features like BlinkFeed, Zoe, Boom Sound and its much talked Ultra Pixel Camera.
Recently the company faced some bottlenecks in the production of HTC One units due to shortage in the Ultra pixels camera components which later became the major reason for the delayed launch across the world. Anyhow the company managed to sell the smartphone beginning from last month in its local market. Singapore is also expected to receive the device this month.
Currently the company’s financial position for the first quarter of this year is not very impressive. But with the release of its 2013 flagship device in more and more countries the company can expect a gradual increase in its sales.
Rivals for HTC One are Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xpera Z. Rumored price and release date of Galaxy S4 in India is Rs 44,999 and on May 10th respectively. Sony Xperia is already released in the country and available at the leading stores for a price of Rs 38k (appx).
