2012 Xperia phones to receive JellyBean update with improved Sony features

Sony is one of the brand which provides software upgrades regularly to its older devices. Sometimes the company may take too long but one fine day it officially announces about its update plans.
Recently the handsets like Xperia TL and Xperia J have already received Android Jelly Bean update. Updates are very important for the customers as it brings many good things along with it. Like the new features, better performance, smoother touch response and many bug fixes.

Recently the Japanese smartphone maker has announced that it will be upgrading some of its 2012 Xperia smartphones to Android v4.1 JellyBean. This update will not only contain the JB features but also it will have some improved features of Sony apps.
The confirmed devices to receive this update package are Xperia T (Xperia TL in US), Xperia V and Xperia TX. As per the statement the update will start rolling out from this month worldwide. The users of these handset can update the software over the air (OTA) or download via PC Companion.

The new software includes some interesting functionality:
– Latest & Updated Sony apps
– Revamped Homescreen for better handling of widgets and apps
– Improved Camera functionality
– Google now support, an intelligent personal assistant that come along with JellyBean Os.

Last year Sony had released few more handset under Xperia series which are currently running on android ICS. Some of these Xperia device are expected to receive JB update. The list includes Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia P, Xperia Go, Xperia Ion and Xperia Acro S. But this list is yet to be officially confirmed.
