Lava Iris 502 not a Quad Core Phone, Spotted at online retailer for Rs 8,490

Few days back there was big news and expectations about Lava Iris 502 smartphone. The sources had told that this device would come with a Quad Core processor to compete with smartphones like Micromax A116 Canvas HD (Canvas 3) and Karbonn S1 Titanium. But it is not.
Iris 502 is a typical low budget android phablet with entry level specs. The device doesn’t look to be an upgraded version of Iris 501 (excluding the Os version).

Iris 502 brings 1GHz processor running on android 4.1 Jelly Bean Os. It has a 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage and MicroSD support expandable upto 32GB. The company is providing 4GB memory card and Screen guard as complimentary on purchase of Iris 502.

Lava 502 has 5 inch capacitive touchscreen which bring it into the Phablet category. The display resolution is 800X480 pixels with 16Million colors.
There is a 5MP Autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. The device comes with Dual SIM slots with Dual standby support. Iris 502 has a 2000mAh Li Ion battery which offers upto 9hrs of talk time and 16 days of standby time.
Currently it can be purchased from Indian Online retailers like Maniacstore.com and Saholic.com for Rs 8,490.
