HCL Me Y2 ICS Tablet to be released in India by August

HCL Infosystems an Indian IT company which majorly produces desktop PC’s has officially announced about its plan to release a new 3G enabled tablet PC in the Indian Market by August 2012 for Rs 18000. Me Y2 Tablet features a 7inch touchscreen display powered by Android 4.0 Icecream Sandwich operating system.

“We are planning a tablet called Y2 for August launch. The tablet will carry a 17.74-cm (7-inch) screen, run on Android ICS and support voice calling via a 3G SIM card.” HCL Infosystems Executive VP and Head (Mobility) Gautam Advani told the reporters.

HCL launched its first tablet last year named as Me Tab X1 for Rs 10990 and later in April this year it launched another tablet Me Tab U1 for Rs 8000 in India. Both the tablets have received good reviews.
