Last week a rumor was sparked by Nokia Chairman Jorma Ollila about the plans of new Windows 8 tablets and other hybrid smartphones from Nokia later this year. But now according to the reports from eWeek, Nokia through a spokesman said that, the statements from Mr. Ollila are misinterpreted by the press. Nokia hasn’t announced any Tablet product. The spokesperson also told that they are following the Tablet market with keen interest, but so far have not announced any tablet product.

Now it is clear from the press department of Nokia that it may be releasing a tablet in future but not sure when. Nokia is working after all, very closely with Microsoft and is one of the major hardware partners. It would be rather odd if Nokia doesn’t fall in the Windows 8 Tablet market.
