Overview -

Sony Ericsson now Sony Mobile Communications has announced two new SmartPhones back to back under the XperiaTM NXT series, Sony XperiaTM P and Sony XperiaTM U at the Mobile World Congress 2012 conducted at the Barcelona, Spain. These Mobile Phones are yet to be released world wide perhaps in the next quarter of this year. Sony has integrated the Mobile BRAVIA Engine into this phone from which the videos and the photos are displayed crisp and clear.

  • Highlighted Feature:
  • Sony XperiaTM P is the first smartphone which introduces the Sony’s WhiteMagicTM Technology. This technology solves the screen viewing trouble in the bright sunlight. Let me explain you in brief what is this WhiteMagic technology all about. Usually in all the LCD each pixel is divided into three sub-pixels Red, Green & Blue. This technology adds one more sub-pixel White hence making 4 sub-pixels as one pixel. This White sub-pixel allows the backlight to pass through it hence showing the True White and eventually increasing the brightness of the screen. Lot of brightness means emptying of Battery power but Sony has taken care of this problem by introducing two modes in this phone, Outdoor mode where the screen is at the brightest and Indoor mode where the screen is 50% of the brightest (Consumes less power). Switching between these modes is handled automatically by the Ambient sensor.
With this technology the Images, Videos also can be viewed in detail and brighter than the normal LCD and the OLED screens.

Sony works with lot of dedication towards its design. Slick Unibody Design is the another highlighted feature along with the WhiteMagic Technology in this SmartPhone.
It means this device is designed using a Solid, anodized Aluminum metal hence increasing its hardness and robustness with light in weight. Hence form a design perspective Sony Xperia P is a distinctive and a stunning Mobile Phone.
